The Boston Marathon is the world's oldest annual marathon. In 2007 more than 20,000 runners completed the race.

Berlin Marathon
Date: 27th/28th September 2008
The Berlin Marathon boasts a field of more than 40,000 athletes from 115 nations with about one million people lining the course. The start and finish areas were located in the in the heart of the capital next to Germany 's most famous landmark: the Brandenburg Gate.

Las Salle Chicago Marathon
Date: 12th October 2008
The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon attracts a high calibre of professional runners for its fast pace, record setting course. Aimed at an international level, runners arrive from over 120 countries and all 50 American States to compete in the 26.2 mile race
