25 August 2006 - Hi-Life Diners Club and Action Against Hunger are delighted to announce their partnership for this year’s Restaurants Against Hunger campaign. In October, the campaign will call all food lovers to ‘Fight Hunger. Eat Out’ and raise funds to make a real difference to the world’s hungry. Participating restaurants invite their customers to make an optional donation when they pay the bill, organise their own special events or give part of the takings made from selected dishes.

Hi-Life Diners Club has joined forces with Restaurants Against Hunger to help promote its Fight Hunger. Eat Out campaign. Moreover, all proceeds of the charity auction and raffle at the 2007 Hi-Life Gala Dinner will be donated to Action Against Hunger.

Established for over 20 years, the Hi-Life card is the UK’s No.1 dining promotion with over 2000 partner restaurants across the UK. Catering for all tastes and price ranges, the Hi-Life Dining Card offers 2 meals for the price of 1 at a vast choice of eateries – from Michelin listed establishments right through to popular family favourites.

As David Heeley, Hi-Life’s chairman, comments: "Hi-Life has over 80,000 members, who are all, to one degree or another, regular diners. They join Hi-Life to sample all types of cuisine from around the world and by using their Hi-Life Dining Card save a fortune into the bargain. By joining forces with Action Against Hunger, our members are now able give some of these savings back to the most needy people on our planet, which is a wonderful way to help the less fortunate whilst still enjoying the privilege of dining in our partner restaurants."

All funds raised from Restaurants Against Hunger go directly to Action Against Hunger, which helps vulnerable populations all around the world in their daily struggle to feed themselves. Every pound raised goes to support the charity’s programmes in 43 countries including the Middle East, Niger, Sudan, Malawi, Zambia, Guatemala, Cambodia, Mongolia and Nepal.
